Sexual aphrodisiacs. Myths or realities

Sexual aphrodisiacs. Myths or realities

The aphrodisiacs sexual, or substances to arouse or increase our libido have always played a role in society more legend than actual reality.

Scientifically it is not proven that certain foods produce an increase in sexual desire or appetite, but it is the mind that plays an important role when consuming it with our partner at the doors of sexual relations.

Many are the myths and legends that have been awakened over the years about some products such as champagne, chocolate, or even certain drinks when they are considered aphrodisiacs. Nevertheless, it is sad to recognize that only those chemical preparations, which we do not advise, can further enhance sexual relations.

Literature, old popular beliefs, or even word of mouth have made many people trust natural products by identifying them as aphrodisiacs, their minds always playing an important role. Sex does not stop being present in our brain and it is the true engine of sexual arousal.

Such is the cult of the so-called supposedly natural aphrodisiacs that even human beings have practically dedicated themselves to exterminating species to extract from their corpses elements that promised an endless sexual desire. Thus, species such as the Rhinoceros, have suffered for years the slaughter of those who wanted to obtain its horn because a thousand legends have been spread about its aphrodisiac powers. The same was said of Tigre's penis or Whale's semen, but they have been nothing more than rumors that have destroyed the natural habitat of Africa.

Mythical foods and drinks for good sex

But let's go back to the most classic ones. In the case of chocolate, its supposed aphrodisiac power comes from the consumption of chocolates before many sexual relations. But that does not mean that chocolate has special powers compared to sex. The same happens with oysters, always so overvalued in the sexual sphere.

The same goes for champagne, how highly valued it is. Its consumption comes from celebrations, and yes, it can be a great protagonist of sex, but it will not add anything special, except its bubbly flavor. Furthermore, like all alcohols, its consumption does not exactly help men to increase their sexual potency.

The so-called aphrodisiac fruits, the strange infusions from the East, or the South American seeds run the same luck. Ginseng is a clear example of this, with a multitude of health benefits, but not as a sexual enhancer or with aphrodisiac effects.

The strawberries always stand out with cava. But it is still a nice sexual appetizer.

Imagination as a natural aphrodisiac

Sex is above all imagination, desire. Our greatest aphrodisiac powers are locked in our minds, so let's put spicy elements into our relationships and not wait for foods that have only that, fame, but nothing more.

The imagination, creativity, the motivation of sexual desire is without a doubt the best natural aphrodisiac.

If there is a minimum of imagination in the couple, they will be the best aphrodisiacs, if with this we try to raise the sexual climate.
